Snapchat is a popular social media network among teenagers and young people. The community has grown into a major entity that Facebook wanted to own just like Instagram and Whatsapp. Facebook buys out any company that can create competition for them in the future. The social media platform outnumbered in traffic to YouTube.
Snapchat is a mobile application designed to run on Android, and iOS smartphones and tablets. The company recruited a group of engineers to design a security patch that does not allow the computers uses to use Snapchat on PC.
How To Use Snapchat Officially?
The social media application founder is very clear that he does not want the PC users on the platform. The company never created an official version of Snapchat for PC because the founder is focusing on the mobile platform.
Everyone in the silicon-valley knows that the smartphone industry & application industry is going to be around for a very long time. Major brands are focusing on producing products for smaller screens because the world is shifting from desktop browsing to portable browsing.
In short, there is no official version of Snapchat for PC, so do not download random apps that promise you features & fun.
Solution #1: Android Emulator
Android emulator also is known as a simulator that helps the users to run Android apps & games on PC and Snapchat for PC is no big deal to run on emulators.
- 2 GB RAM installed on the computer.
- 10 GB free space in the C: drive. Many experts don’t mention about the free space because it doesn’t count in the process. But, if you want a smooth experience, then you must have free space in the C: drive.
- Any 64-bit operating system can do the job.
- Processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with Intel virtualization, and AMD Hyper-V enabled.
- Update the graphics drivers and make sure that your computer comes with the modern graphics card.
Unfortunately, many low-end computers and old computers do not offer decent graphics card & virtualization.
Which Android Emulator is the best?
- Nox App Player for all types of machines.
- Anbox for Linux based machines.
- Memu Android Emulator for low-end computers.
Step 1: In my case, I am using Nox App Player and click on Google Play Store.
Step 2: Now search for any social media app such as Instagram and Snapchat.
Step 3: I have already installed the application on my emulator. However, some of the emulators don’t support Snapchat. All thanks go to the Snapchat for PC engineers for creating the application.
Step 4: Just in case, download the APK file from APK PURE or any other source.
Step 5: Drag & drop the APK file into the Android Emulator and I am using Nox App Player that supports the features. Keep in mind that some of the emulators don’t support drag & drop feature.
Step 6: I have launched the app and its working fine so far.
Give it a shot.
Snapchat for PC officially is not available and make sure to download the APK file from a safe source.
