It also allows the operating system of your computer to get access to the RAM, Hard Disk or any other devices connected to your computer. Its also like the fail-safe device in any system, which saves the other parts of the system from damage. If anything is wrong on the computer on the booting time, this program saves the other parts of the operating system from getting damaged or something else like that.

Method 1: Using Windows Operating system
This method requires your PC to be fully functional and running without any hiccup or sneeze. There are some steps you have to follow but it is not like a procedure so you can skip some steps if you want to but not the main ones.
We have to execute the “Run” Command. For this Press, “Windows+R” button from your keyboard and the “Run” windows should have popped up on to the screen. Type “msinfo32″ and press enter.
It will open “System Information”. Then in the left column, click on the “System Information” and then locate “BIOS Information” in the right column of the screen.
Then, go to your motherboard manufacturer’s site or to the laptop’s manufacturer’s, if you have one and look for drivers update there and from there have to download the latest update of the BIOS version , but you have to enter the “Serial Number” of the motherboard or laptop there and download the file from there and go the next step after that.
Assuming that you have downloaded the BIOS file, only thin you have to do now that open that file with “Administrative Privileges” and the all the next steps are automated and if all thing go straight as they intended your BIOS version will get updated.
And if things go wrong, you can’t do anything except taking the PC to
Method 2: Using Flash Drive or any other bootable drive
This method should only be tried if your PC’s boot sector is damaged or your PC is not working at all otherwise the above-mentioned method is suitable for you. This method worked by using a flash drive and the booting through safe mode to update or install the latest BIOS version on to the computer.
For downlaoding the BIOS file, you have to follow the steps mentioned in the previous method and we have to make the flash drive bootable and “How do we do that?” The answer to that is the application named “RUFUS” which will help to make the flash drive ready to do its job.
Open the application and attach the flash drive to the PC and select the flash drive from the “Devices” menu. Then, Select FAT32 in the drop-down menu under File system and select FreeDOS next to “Create a bootable disk using”. Now Click “Start”.
When the process got completed, click “Close”. And just copy the downloaded “BIOS File” on that flash drive and note the name of the file some where safe as it can be required later.
Now, that the drive is ready, connect it to that computer, of which BIOS you want to update and Power it on but keep pressing F12 simultaneously because we want to go into the boot menu. Choose the flash drive from that menu and Press “Enter”.
A Command Prompt window will open and you have to select the drive partition in which your operating system is installed. Type “dir” and select the flash drive there.
Now, type the File name which I told you to keep noted some where and then press “Enter”. Then the process will get started and you have to be patient during that and connect the charger to the laptop, if you are using one. After the process got completed, turn on the PC and your BIOS version will be updated, you can check as well.
